Larsen

Since 1995 LARSEN, from Torino Italy, has released 19 full length albums and 4 eps, which got remarkable worldwide press, and performed all over Europe, UK and North America. 

Collaborations with such artists as Johann Johannsson, Michael Gira, Martin Bisi, Lustmord, Deathprod, Nurse With Wound, Z'EV, Baby Dee, Julia Kent, sci-fi icon Christine Schell, Paul Beauchamp, Lori Goldston plus the project XXL (aka Xiu Xiu + Larsen) also stand out on their record.

In 2008 legendary dub-diva Little Annie (a.k.a. Annie Anxiety Bandez) joined the band as lead singer and lyricist appearing on La Fever Lit, Cool Cruel Mouth and on the related tours.

2016 sees the band representing itself as instrumental unit with a new album Of Grog Vim” (featuring special guest Thor Harris from Swans). A new Larsen EP "Tiles" featuring Annie and a new XXL Puff O'Gigio album came out in late 2018."Arrival Vibrate", a conceptual tribute to their friend Z'EV featuring a remix by John Duncan, was released in October 2019 followed by A Chronicle the soundtrack for the photo book “Meiwo” by visual artist/photographer/performer Jacopo Benassi, a collaborative project winner of the Witty Books “Ear-Eye” 2021 award.

2022 saw the release of Golden Leaf a collaboration with sound artist Alessandro Sciaraffa, staged as a performative installative ritual in few selected venues.

Over the latest years the band has been taking the collaboration with Jacopo Benassi on stage with the performance “Light is Life” (to be documented by a live album currently being mixed), featured in Little Annie’s album “With” (Cold Spring Records, 2025) and  joined forces with founding member of the legendary 4AD post punk band Rema-Rema Gary Asquith and Michael Allen to perform live their historical EP “Wheel In The Roses” for the first time since 1981, to a sold out audience at Seeyousound festival 2023.The XXL piece Welcome To My World” appeared inthe movie “Relay” (2025)by director David MacKenzie featuring Riz Ahmed and Lily James

The new Larsen album Decalcomania (the 20th of their discography), produced by William Basinski, will be out early 2026 on Erototox Decodings.
The previous albums are available on Young God and Important Records.
